Episode 13: Personal Paranormal Experiences & Uwharrie Hauntings

In this episode, Megan and Brooks discuss their own personal paranormal experiences, some of which they both experienced as children growing up in the same household. They also go back to Brooks’s experience camping in Uwharrie and what could be out there.

Brooks’s Paranormal Experiences

Brooks tells of his own paranormal experiences, some recent that took place in his own home. As someone who doesn’t want to encourage the entities, he tries not to acknowledge what happens in his house to hopefully get them to leave him alone.

He also discusses things he experienced as a child, in his and Megan’s childhood homes. One has to do with a picture of Jesus that hung on their wall, the eyes following him. Another was a shadow person going from one room to the next that he mistook as a burglar.

Megan’s Paranormal Experiences

Megan also tells of things that happened during her childhood, one that Brooks experienced too. Hearing singing coming from their bathroom on various occasions that they didn’t know the other experienced until adulthood. To this day they aren’t sure what the noise they heard was.

Megan also tells of seeing an alien-like creature looking into the window at her as a child. Could it have been a dream or was it real? She also discusses things moving in her room without explanation and hearing people walking around when no one was at home.

Uwharrie Paranormal Happenings

Brooks camped at Uwharrie national park in North Carolina last fall and took his “ghost hunting” equipment with him. They picked up the word “creepy” on one of the instruments and right after his dog started growling at something in the dark that they couldn’t see.

In the early morning hours, Brooks and his wife heard someone walking outside into their camp towards the campfire. Brooks and his dog went to investigate but no one was found.

We’ve also gotten messages from listeners detailing other experiences in Uwharrie and we revisit a tale of a skinwalker in Uwharrie. Some say they can feel the energy around them while there and it hints that something not of this world is there. Many know the tale of the Uwharrie bigfoot too!
